"You're Not The Devil. You're Practise..." Tournament Report - Part 1.
This past Saturday I ran a small tournament of 8 players at London's Dark Sphere and decided to do a summery for the blog so that people could see a few pictures of the tables, what crews were taken and waht the results were. I have labelled this Part 1 because our tournament winner James has written a report of his own which will make up the second part.
It is worth noting that I and my friend Andy, (who have done a couple of Bat Reps together now), were both in attendance which would have taken it to 10 players. However, we were both down with with a cold and bad cough respectively so we didn't take part on the day. Instead we had a friendly game and tried not to start an epidemic. A Bat rep for this game will be coming.
I would like to say a big thank you to Knights of Dice for the awesome Trophies and Multiverse Gaming Terrain for sponsoring the tournament. I also need to say thank you to Dark Sphere for hosting us and to Bag of Holding who saved me with an 11th Hour delivery of Tournament Prizes.
Scenarios played on the day were Asphalt Jungle, Skirmish and Looting. As TO I made 2 rulings before the event (which were indicated on the event page) to try and keep things on the fun side for everyone, the first was for The Secret Society of Supervillains the Followers special rule gained a 0-1 limitation. The second was that the Eternal rule was in use, but Riddler Bots could only be hired by AK Riddler and could not contain models with the Drop a Riddle Trait.
If people would like to see some of the games played at Saturday's event in their entirety, all 3 games from table 1 were filmed and can be viewed on my friend Marcus Rose's YouTube channel Momentous Two on Two.
The Tables.
We had 5 tables set up for this event due to the original plan for myself and Andy to take part, in the end we used one for a friendly game and rotated players around so everything got played on. The terrain used is mostly from Knights of Dice, TTCombat and Multiverse Gaming Terrain (who also make the brilliant MDF city tiles seen on table 5). The rest is from Impudent Mortal in the U.S but unfortunately they no longer make this line of Industrial terrain. They do however make some really kickass Sci Fi terrain which I highly recommend. Below are pictures of the tables used during the tournament.
